Fleks
Fleks shows the available capacity that can be released at any given time and can either be armed to release capacity in the event of a change, such as frequency falling below the limit value or at a specified time.
Dashboard
Arkitecht provides an overview of available capacity for flex, status at last activation, profiles added and the status and consumption of each load added.
Report
Export a log from the previous activation with high-resolution meter data for documentation.
Local controls
Fleks communicates with the loads from Arkitecht Controller locally. This results in lightning-fast response and will work even if the grid goes down.
API
Integrate Fleks with existing solutions through our REST API.
Profiler
Fleks are activated or armed with profiles consisting of the following information:
- Time the profile should apply from
- Whether consumption should be set to or reduced by the desired value
- Desired value in kW, amps or percentage of current consumption
Profiles are managed from Arkitecht or API
Local RTU
Fleks can be integrated with the power supplier’s local RTU through Modbus RTU.
- Activate flex with desired reduction in % of total capacity
- Status on flex
- Consumption loads
This means that the power supplier can activate Fleks as needed if, for example, the main supply line is out for a period of time.
Lightning fast response
Fleks can be combined with many of Arkitecht’s modules, depending on the components used, the response time will be extremely fast and can therefore be used for both tertiary reserves (MFRR) and secondary reserves (aFRR). When Fleks is armed, it will respond immediately if the frequency drops. Communication with the components takes place locally, which ensures the fastest possible response time.
Perfect match
To ensure the fastest possible response time and to avoid disrupting communication with OCPP servers, Fleks uses other protocols to reduce consumption at AC/DC charging stations for electric cars. It is therefore completely safe to use the capacity of a charging facility and charging will resume as soon as the capacity is restored without customers having to take any action.
